Those parrots have been known to learn up to 250 words, making the breed an excellent choice for owners who want a talking bird at home. There are a few important things, that need to be known about ring-neck.Some species are quite capable of talking, not every Ringneck will learn to mimic human speech. For non-understandable reasons, but in Exotic OOD, we believe that the parrot will start talking if the right training is provided.
TRAINING PROGRAM
Our training program is really good to be used in home environment and it is also created to be used by individuals with no previous experience.
We created the program in three main steps that will be the first steps of taming the parrot.
Step 1- Start by trust building and proper relationship with your bird. Ringnecks are intelligent birds however they require a lot of time and affection when apply to tame them. When trusts is already built and also love between you and your bird is on face, then the bird will want to interact and communicate with you.
Step 2- Using treats is very important part, when teaching the bird of something. Give the bird treat, when you here it say a word that you repeat. Over the time, food treats can be exchanged with other rewards, like a shower, head scratches or favourite game which will also stimulate the bird to talk when.
Step 3- Instead of personal training increase it by playing an audio training CD while you are away from home. The discs are working in by repeat words over and over and can be purchased online or at many pet stores or directly from us. There is one more cheap way, which is to record your own training disc so your bird will hear your voice and learn the words that you want.
We are hoping our information will be helpful to you, however try to follow the rules and see the progress. If there is progress we will be happy to record your bird and put the video on our facebook page by showing us how you did it.

Cockatiel
World's most famous parrot is the cockatiel which is well known for its gentle, social and intelligent nature. This parrot is not at all demanding and makes a lovely pet for indoor environment. Beginners would be likely to not have any issues when tame them. Those who already have those birds consider it to be very happy owners.
Cockatiels are found in Australia and are smallest parrot of the cockatoo (parrot) family. There could be found lots of similarities between a cockatiel and a parrot just for the fact that the cockatiel is one of species of parrot. The name sounds more like a Dutch the name of the bird "cockatiel" basically means a little cockatoo.
Male cockatiels are mostly seen as better than females because of their bright colour and much more sociable abilities, but then overall cockatiels are not very clear in their speech when compared to other parrots such as ring-neck parrots.
In size cockatiels are smaller than other parrots also they do not bite as much and are quieter and cleaner as well. Please, consider that, before taking one as a pet is that they are always hand fed. This makes them easy to tame. Think twice before making a selection between a male and a female as they are friendly yet not so expensive birds. Female cockatiels are general more nervous than males.
